Q: Keep getting WebKit Networking pop up in Safari

Each time you open Safari and access a cert protected site get the following pop up dialog:

Context

  • Sierra 10.12.6
  • Safari 11.0

Fix

  • Open Keychain Access
  • Click on keys, under Category (bottom left)
  • Click on Name column header to sort by name
  • Locate your MIT personal certificate, "yourname Certificate"
  • Double click on that line
  • Click on 'Access Control'
  • Click on the + sign. Webkit.Framework folder should automatically open. (/System/Library/Frameworks/WebKit.framework/)
  • Navigate to Versions > A > XPC Services
  • Select com.apple.WebKit.Networking.xpc
  • Click Add
  • Click Save Changes
