There is probably a dialog box open that says the following:
"One or more PDF Documents are open inside a Web Browser. If you exit Adobe Acrobat reader now, these documents will be closed. Are you sure you want to exit?""

To fix this situation, do the following:

1. Locate this window by moving the SAP window or using the Alt+Tab key combination to cycle through the open windows.
2. Check the Do not display this message again box.
3. Exit this window.
