If you just installed Adobe Acrobat Reader, it is possible that the license agreement that appears when you run Acrobat Reader for the first time is blocking the loading of the document from within IXOS. In order to remedy this situation, locate this "License agreement" window using the "Alt+tab" key combination to cycle through the open windows, agree to the license and retry the IXOS document.
