Some apps like CrashPlan, Sophos, and Spirion are not functioning properly after upgrading to macOS 10.14 Mojave or macOS 10.15 Catalina.
Certain applications need access to the whole disk in order to function properly. This will require explicitly allowing the applications to access the full disk.
- Open Apple System Preferences.
- Open Security & Privacy.
- Select the Privacy tab.
- If privacy settings are locked:
- Click the lock icon in the lower-left corner.
- Enter your device password.
- Click Unlock.
- In the left pane, select Full Disk Access.
- In the right pane, click the + icon.
- Navigate to Applications > YourApp.
- Click Open.
You may see the following message appear: "YourApp" will not have full disk access until it is quit.
- Click Quit Now.
- (Optional) Click the lock in the lower-left corner to re-lock privacy settings.
- (Required) Restart your computer to make sure that any services associated with the applications are restarted.
