Backing up your iOS device

IS&T strongly recommends backing up your device. Apple offers two ways to back up your iOS device: via a computer with iTunes or via iCloud. To find out more on how to do either option, please refer to the following Apple Support Article:

This Apple Support article goes in depth about their back-up services, which should address all your concerns about this issue.

If you have any issues related to backing up your iOS device, feel free to contact AppleCare at 800-APL-CARE (800-275-2273) or visit getsupport.apple.com

Important
*Please note that not all features of iCloud are available for all iPhones / iOS versions. To see what is able to work for the device and iOS you have, please visit the Apple Knowledge Base Article System Requirements for iCloud *

Also please note that IS&T does not have any backup solution for mobiles devices - Code42/CrashPlan is only available for computers. IS&T does not have any way of getting data off mobile devices. If you need to get data off of a mobile device, please visit the Drive Savers site - if you choose to use this service mention the reference number DS82035.
