Adobe Pantone options

Pantone is no longer being included in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign. Here is their Pantone Connect X Adobe FAQ where you can read about the change and options they are offering.

Individual Pantone Purchase Option
MIT does not have a license for Pantone. If you wish to license this third party product, please send an email request "From: yourkerb@mit.edu" To: Shonna R Patterson shonnapatterson@pantone.com. Pantone will verify your MIT affiliation, then provide a coupon code where you will receive an academic discount to purchase the license at $35.99 per year. Pantone has confirmed that this license can be used with your MIT Adobe licensed applications distributed to your MIT Federated ID.

Adobe has prepared these pages for using Color Books with their products
This Adobe Color FAQ is a good starting place to learn about the Adobe Color options.
The following has the information for each of the specific applications.
Pantone Color Books - PhotoShop
Pantone Color Books - Illustrator
Pantone Color Books - InDesign

They also have this add-on in Adobe Exchange for Pantone Connect that connects you with some of the free Pantone colors and provides a path to subscribe for more directly from Pantone.

The video below helps explain reasons why you may or may not need to continue using Pantone.
