Auto-Responder

Definition

a retired service which sends an automatic reply to senders while the intended recipient of a message is away from her office and email. For MIT's email services, Auto-Responder used to refer to this service for legacy Cyrus IMAP accounts. It is also sometimes called Vacation Email. Microsoft calls this service Out-of-Office replies for the MIT Exchange email environment.
