Applied Biological Sciences (no longer a department)

Officially disbanded in 1988, the Department of Applied Biological Sciences was at one time MIT's Course 20. Its original title was the Department of Food Technology, but the name was changed throughout the years first to the Department of Nutrition, Food Science, and Technology and then to the Department of Nutrition and Food Science before finally becoming the Department of Applied Biological Sciences.
